This Saturday, April 27, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Waikiki will come alive with the 20th annual SPAM JAM Festival, the popular street celebration that honors Hawaii’s beloved canned meat. The festival, free to the public, will feature 30 participating restaurants and various booths, as well as three stages for live entertainment, highlighted by a special drone show over Waikiki Beach at 8:15 p.m. One of those featured restaurants will be Maui Brewing Co., where Kelly went over to see what they’re serving up.

This year’s event not only marks two decades of festivities but also adds new features to enhance the celebration. The festival’s purpose remains community-focused, with all proceeds benefiting local entities like the Hawaii Food Bank, Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii, and the Waikiki Community Center.

Shawn, from the acclaimed Maui Brewing Co., shared his excitement about participating in such an iconic event. Maui Brewing Co. will showcase the same dish that quickly sold-out last year; the Deep-Fried SPAM Bomb — SPAM seared and served atop rice, wrapped in nori, breaded, deep fried, and sliced, accompanied by a homemade shoyu-garlic dipping sauce infused with Kupu Whiskey. Beyond the festival, Maui Brewing Co. also invites patrons to enjoy their Late Night Happy Hour, featuring discounts on beers, cocktails, appetizers, and pizzas, further highlighting their commitment to culinary excellence and community involvement.
