SPAM Jam’s newest addition to light up night sky

WAIKIKI, Hawaii (KHON2) — It’s almost time to celebrate Hawaiʻi’s favorite canned meat! SPAM Jam returns to the Waikiki streets on Saturday, April 26.

In honor of its annual return, the Waikiki SPAM Jam Festival partnered with Sky Elements Drones to bring the story of SPAM to life.

The 10-minute immersive show is the festival’s newest addition and will light up the night sky at 9 p.m.

If you’re planning to catch the action, officials recommend you grab a spot anywhere on or near Waikiki Beach from the Duke Kahanamoku Statue to Kapahulu Ave.

“The wonderful part of drone shows is that every formation is a surprise; we do not share our timeline for that very reason,” said Waikiki SPAM Jam in a social media post.

Guests can also enjoy music alongside the show at the Hula Mound stage near the Hyatt Waikiki.
